Derwent View is a FOUR STAR, superb three bedroom holiday accommodation which sleeps six people.
The property consists of 2 double bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities and one other twin bedded room with a separate bathroom. There is a lounge, dining room, kitchen and hallway.
There is fully automatic gas central heating and spacious grounds attached to the property.There is a lock up garage and off road parking for guest's use.
Derwent View is at an end of village location with spectacular views over the Hope Valley in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire.
The village of Bamford has a population of about 1000 and has one public house ,one shop, one bakery and one post office. It is quintesensually a Peak District village built in stone.
All rooms are at ground level.
The nearby market towns of Bakewell, Glossop,Buxton and Chesterfield are 30 minutes away by car. Attractive villages nearby include Castleton, Hope, Eyam, Hathersage and Grindleford. Bamford itself is situated in the upper Derwent Valley and is close to the lost villages of Ashopton and Derwent which were inundated with water when the massive Ladybowewer dam was built in 1935. The other two dams,Howden and Derwent, which are further up the valley are renown for their breathtaking beauty. This local area is sometimes called "The lakeland Of The Peaks"
Bamford has a railway station on the Hope Valley line with links to Sheffield and Manchester. Train are operated on a pay on board basis and run approximately every hour during the day. ...
